MTV EMA 2017 Nominees: Taylor Swift, Katy Perry Going Head-To-Head

The fight between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry lives on – this time it’ll be at the 2017 MTV EMA’s.

The MTV European Music Awards celebrates the best musicians and performers, and is held in a different country each year. This year, the event will be held at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London, and will see the often-feuding Swift and Perry go up against each other for multiple awards.

The nominees for the 2017 ceremony were announced on Wednesday, with Swift, who is set to release her sixth studio album, “Reputation” in November, having the most nominations with six. Though Perry, who is currently on the road with her “Witness” tour, only has two nominations, she’s up against Swift for both of them.

The two categories the pop singers will be battling it out for are Best Video and Biggest Fans. As the winners of these awards are chosen by the fans, it seems like the winner between Swift and Perry in the Biggest Fans category will also most likely be the victor in the Best Video category. Though, of course, there’s also a completely possible chance that neither will win either award and one of the other nominees in the categories will take home the prize.

Fans of these two artists can vote on the MTV EMA website for these head-to-head categories, as well as for all the other awards the award show will be giving out.
