MTV Video Music Awards 2018 Best Dressed: Hottest Celebrity Red Carpet Looks
Some of the most popular names in music gathered at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday night to attend the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards.
While the coveted trophies were the main focus of the evening, it’s hard to ignore the major fashion statements made by some of the hottest celebrities at the annual event.
Check out some of the best-dressed stars who hit the red carpet ahead of the 2018 VMAs.
Heads always turn when any member of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashian” cast arrives at an event and Kylie Jenner was no exception.
The 21-year-old mom of Stormi Webster walked the red carpet without boyfriend Travis Scott, but managed to pull off an impressive yet simple look.
Jenner rocked an all white Tom Ford blazer dress featuring a waist-cinching belt, which illuminated all of her post-baby curves while still presenting a polished and elegant overall look.
Another star who owned the red carpet was one of the guests of honor, Jennifer Lopez. The singer was the recipient of this year’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, recognizing her accomplishments in music and film.
The “Dinero” artist wore what appeared to be a custom-made, silver chainmail one-shoulder dress by Versace. The ensemble featured strips of crystals and a high slit, reminiscent of the risqué tropical-print dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards, also from the designer’s collection.
Elsewhere on the red carpet, SZA was serving looks before she made her way into the VMAs. The “Broken Clocks” singer, who was nominated for three awards, wore a pale pink Rodarte dress.
Along with her fashion win, SZA appears to be working on her own environmentally friendly clothing line, CTRL Fishing Co. Last week, the star shared a photo of a sweatshirt with the words “Sustainability Gang” written across the front.
Saving the oceans, creating music and looking stunning on the red carpet appear to be just a few of the singer’s many talents.
Hayley Kiyoko brought style and tears to the red carpet when she arrived in a black Stello tulle dress. During the pre-show festivities, the star found out she won the Push Artist of the Year.
“I’m so happy! You make me cry! I haven’t even met the famous people yet and my makeup’s going to be messed up,” she told Terrence J.
“This validates any queer woman of color that you can follow your dream and I love my fans! My fans gave this to us! We did it, 20GayTeen! 2018!”
