‘My 600-LB Life’ Season 8 Stars Where Are They Now? Gina Update
When viewers tuned into “My 600-LB Life” Season 8 on Wednesday night, they met Gina Krasley. At the time of her debut on the TLC series, Gina weighed around 606 pounds.
According to an Instagram update, it appears Gina is trying to continue her weight loss journey, but some viewers may question the amount of progress she has made without Dr. Nowzaradan.
During her episode, Gina revealed she grew up with an abusive father and was later forced to live with him after her parents divorced. To deal with the abuse and depression, she sought comfort in food.
Gina decided she needed to make a change when her weight began to put a strain on her marriage. Due to her size, Gina revealed she hasn’t been able to be intimate with her wife in over three years.
Gina realized her best chance at a new life was to move to Houston and join Dr. Now’s weight loss program. However, Gina failed to lose the 50 pounds that would have prompted Dr. Now to approve her gastric bypass surgery.
Although he gave her another chance, Gina ended up gaining 13 pounds in the days leading up to her surgery. Toward the end of the “My 600-LB Life” episode, Dr. Now gave Gina one more chance to prove herself.
He ordered her to 75 pounds in the next three months, but it’s unclear whether she achieved her goal and received the surgery. On Gina’s Instagram page, she has shared a before and after photo in which her face appears to be slimmer.
However, she didn’t reveal whether Dr. Now approved the surgery. Instead, she captioned the photo with an uplifting message.
“Thank you ALL so much for all the support and positive vibes!!!! I appreciate it so much. NOTHING IN LIFE IS EASY! You got to always take it #minutebyminute,” she wrote.
“Soooo with that being said here is a face to face of me from where I was (in grey) to where I am now (pink). STAY TUNED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. We got this. We are worth it.”
“My 600-LB Life” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
