‘My Favorite Christmas Melody’ Lifetime Movie Premiere: Cast, Trailer, Synopsis
Lifetime’s “It’s A Wonderful Lifetime” programming event continues tonight with the premiere of “My Favorite Christmas Melody,” starring Mya and Rainbow Sun Francks.
This musical film will take fans on a journey, as it will be their first time seeing Mya in a Lifetime film. While she has acted before, most notably in the film “Chicago,” where she portrayed Mona, Mya is best known for her career as a singer. Hit songs and collaborations have included “Case of the ex,” “My Love is Like...Wo,” “Take Me There” and “Lady Marmalade.” This will mark not only her first film on Lifetime, but a debut in the holiday movie circuit as well.
As for Rainbow Sun Francks, fans may recognize him from a number of different television roles, but he isn’t such a stranger to the Lifetime holiday film scene. He starred opposite Laura Vandervoort in 2020’s “A Christmas Exchange.”
So what will happen in this film? Let’s find out.
“Once a promising singer-songwriter, Abby (Mya) now finds herself writing uninspired jingles for commercials,” a synopsis reads. “As she heads home for the holidays, she’s enlisted by the local high school music teacher to help save the school arts program.”
What Abby doesn’t realize is that this new venture may be just the thing to help her reclaim the life she had and once again find success.
“In the process, Aby rediscovers her voice and regains the confidence to go after her dreams and lets the possibility of love in too,” the synopsis reads.
“My Favorite Christmas Melody” airs Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
