After Deku, also known as Izuku Midoriya, witnesses Tomura Shigaraki’s carnage, the former vows to defeat the villain at any cost. Deku utilizes Nana Shimura’s Quirk against Shigaraki. However, fans will have to wait a little longer as "My Hero Academia" Chapter 284 might remain on a one-week hiatus.

Twitter user Atsushi shared an update that "My Hero Academia" Chapter 284 is not releasing this Sunday as the manga remains on a break.

However, Viz and Manga Plus are yet to confirm the delay of the upcoming chapter.

"My Hero Academia" Chapter 283 starts with Jirou, Yaororozu and Sero watch in horror the damage caused by Gigantomachia. Meanwhile, Tokoyami can be seen holding Hawks, who is badly wounded.

The next scene shows Gigantomachia going berserk as he destroys everything on his path. The heroes wonder if the anaesthetic failed to work on Gigantomachia.

The scene pans to Kyudai Garaki who is delighted to witness the awakening of Shigaraki and how it turned the tide for the League of Villains in the Paranormal Liberation War arc.

Kyudai reveals Gigantomachia is a monster that lives and dies for his lord Shigaraki. The doctor adds how he tried to imitate Gigantomachia and created an army of High-end Nomus as the king needs strong soldiers in the battle against the enemies.

He praises the monster and announces when Gigantomachia gets moving, the carnage is inevitable. The scene shifts to Shigaraki and Deku. Shigaraki rises as Deku looks at him.

Meanwhile, Endeavor is surprised to see Shoto arrive. Shoto tells Endeavor he was late as he was assisting Ryuku’s team. Shoto adds that Endeavor needs to cool down after exhaustion and he will help him by taking him to a safer location.

Deku is furious after witnessing his comrades fall one after another. Just when he is ready to strike at Shigaraki, the villain’s chest ruptures and blood gushes out. Shigaraki notes he has surpassed his limits and his body is unable to take the strain.

Toward the end of the chapter, Shigaraki makes a last attempt to use his Decay Quirk and perish the remaining heroes.

However, Deku rises along with the heroes. He has managed to use Nana Shimura’s Float Quirk. Deku announces he will end Shigaraki once and for all.
