Banksy, who is known for his interesting street art and unusual projects, recently chose another avenue for highlighting his creations. Rapper Stormzy was wearing a Banksy original when he took the Glastonbury Festival stage last weekend, which came in the form of a stab-proof vest.

The piece of clothing, which was decorated with a muted Union Jack flag, made its appearance on Instagram over the weekend when the artist posted a photo of the vest, crediting himself with its creation.

"I made a customised stab-proof vest and thought - who could possibly wear this? Stormzy at Glastonbury," Banksy wrote in his caption, which can be seen below.

However, the rapper appeared to know next to nothing about Banksy's involvement in the piece, as he wrote on Twitter that he was "Absolutely [expletive] speechless."

Fans weren't quite buying the notion that the musician had no idea as to the origins of the vest, which prompted some to even suggest that they were collaborators, according to The Guardian. Some of the disbelief came from the fact that the vest seemingly coincided a little too well with his set as its stark design showed up well against the lights and flashing messages.

The vest is thought to be significant for several reasons. As noted by the outlet, it is a piece of contemporary armor it alludes to the wave of knife crime in Britain. The intended paranoia paired with the image of the British flag seemed to be summarizing a wave of public consciousnesses without saying a word.

As for what will happen to the piece now that Stormzy's set is over is yet to be seen. Will it end up in a museum? Will the artist retrieve it? Only time will tell.
