A naked man believed to be on drugs jumped into the sunroof of a car in Dallas on Friday and started attacking the female driver Friday in an incident caught on video.

Dallas police detained Nicholas Dyll, 23, in the attack, which occurred in the city’s Oak Hill neighborhood, Dallas Fox affiliate KDFW reported on Monday. A man living in a nearby apartment captured cell phone video of the attack, which shows the man taking off his clothes and climbing into the moving car’s sunroof as a woman’s screams are heard. The car then crashes into a utility pole as a police vehicle approaches.

“A naked man -- he jumped in my car and started attacking me. He started choking me, pulling my hair, pulling my eyes and I couldn’t do anything,” the victim, who does not show her face, says to Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA. “I don’t know how much longer that attack would have lasted if [the police weren’t] there.”

She said her car was dealt $3,000 worth of damage she’ll have to pay herself.

The victim said she’s still haunted by the incident. “I feel more afraid, more aware of everything around me. Like a prisoner,” she said.

“I couldn’t move; it’s like I was paralyzed with fear,” she added to KDFW.

Police suspected the naked man was on drugs, according to WFAA.

Dyll was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and was not arrested because detectives were still investigating the case.

Witnesses said Dyll went after a woman jogging with her baby in Oak Hill when he then noticed the car.
