Naked Man Runs Amok, Slashes Approaching Policeman With Knife In Incident Caught On Camera

A naked man ran amok and slashed a policeman with a knife when he tried to stop him. The incident took place around a mosque in Kuantan, Malaysia, on Friday morning.

According to local reports, police arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a man creating disturbance in the area near the mosque. As soon as the responding officers surrounded the unidentified man, he stripped down. When a policeman tried to approach him, he chased him with a knife in his hand before slashing his arm with it.

The accused, believed to be mentally unstable, then broke a bench in front of the mosque before fleeing the scene and throwing the knife into a nearby river. The entire incident was caught on camera and shared on Facebook.

Recalling the incident, a passerby who helped police catch the accused, said, “The police and I chased him down. When he let down his guard and let go of his knife, we caught him on a bridge at Tanjung Lumpur.”

The man was taken into custody and was sent to a hospital for a mental examination. Meanwhile, the policeman who was slashed with a knife was not seriously injured.
