Naomi Campbell Pictured On Wheelchair With Cane In Brazil Airport
Supermodel Naomi Campbell generated considerable concern in her fans with pictures of her showing up in a wheelchair after landing in São Paulo on Sunday. She was pictured in a wheelchair after her arrival at the Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil. The 45-year-old model seems to have suffered a “light” foot injury as she was seen carrying a cane while leaving the airport with her team.
However, Naomi’s representative confirmed that her injury was light and would not require any surgery. “Whilst it is a private matter, it is a light foot injury which Naomi sustained before her visit to London” her rep said. It is being said that she might take a break from the catwalk to give some rest to her foot.
The supermodel was first seen using a walking aid at the premiere of Eddie Redmayne’s “The Danish Girl” in London raising concerns over her health. Doctors had told her to take it easy. The supermodel, who parties hard, is even said to have skipped the after party of the film.
Naomi missed the after party of “The Danish Girl” because she was in too much pain, which is rather unusual and uncharacteristic for her. A close pal of Naomi said that all this has happened due to her frequent globe-trotting career and she would be back to “normal” after some time out over the festive period. “Naomi had to hobble in through the back door to avoid being pictured,” said an eye-witness.
Despite her sore feet, she was her usual self, flawless. She was seen wearing a chic dusky pink suede coat and black slim-fit trousers and a pair of oversized sunglasses peeping out from underneath her choppy fringe.
Meanwhile, the past few weeks have been very good for the model. She was one of the breakthrough characters in the U.S. drama “Empire” before bowing out towards the end of Season 1. Her fans were pretty excited to see her return to the show.
“Thank you for all the love and support last night and always! I love you all! #empire,” the supermodel tweeted.
