NASA is currently gearing up for the 19th resupply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) through the launch of the Dragon spacecraft via SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. In preparation for the event, NASA is offering exclusive access to social media users to watch the launch live.

The upcoming resupply mission to the ISS, dubbed as CSR-19, is scheduled to launch on Dec. 4. It will take place at the Space Launch Complex 40 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. For the mission, SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft will transport supplies and equipment as well as various scientific experiments to NASA’s space station. The Dragon spacecraft will blast off from Earth through SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.

NASA is looking to attract the attention of social media viewers by inviting selected bloggers and online personalities to witness the event and promote it through their various online platforms. Social media users looking to join NASA for the launch may do so by registering through NASA’s website.

According to the agency, only 50 participants will be selected for the event. Only those who are U.S. citizens will be able to register, which began on Oct. 23 and will end on Oct. 31 at 11:59 pm EDT. As noted by NASA, each registration is only applicable for one person and is non-transferable.

Those who regularly produce original content featuring multimedia elements and are able to reach a large number of people through various digital platforms have great chances of being selected for the event.

Those who will be selected will be notified by NASA via email. The agency will begin to send notifications for the selected participants on Nov. 8. Those who will be waitlisted for the event will be informed on Nov. 14.

If selected, participants will gain special access to various activities that will be arranged by NASA. Aside from being able to watch the launch live at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, the selected participants will also be given a special tour of NASA’s various facilities at the Kennedy Space Center. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from SpaceX and NASA.
