Even though it was one of the last shows to wrap up in 2014, we’re already missing Season 3 of “Nashville.” The midseason cliffhanger had Rayna (Connie Britton) calling off her wedding and Deacon (Charles Esten) receiving news that he has cancer. That shocker certainly left us counting the days until the midseason premiere, and made us think about what’s to come. Check out our “Nashville” Season 3 fan wish list for 2015:

Rayna And Deacon – Rayna wanted to stop making the same mistakes that she has with men in the past, but that doesn’t mean she can’t go back to Deacon. She finally broke up with Luke (Will Chase), and Deacon admitted he is in love with her. Rayna claimed that she wouldn’t go back to him, but his potentially life-threatening cancer might change her perspective.

Will Comes Out – While we would never want to out someone who isn’t ready in real life, this is a fictional story that needs to move along. Will Lexington needs to come out of the closet, whether he likes it or not. “Nashville” has been playing with the storyline of him hiding his sexuality for too long. It’s time to see how the folks of Music City react to a gay country star. Luckily, it looks like a new character might make that a little easier for him.

Sadie Needs Comedy – The midseason finale makes it look like Sadie (Laura Benanti) will have to face her abusive ex. While we know “Nashville” is all about the drama, Benanti is hysterical and the show needs comedic relief somewhere. Utilize Benanti’s talents, “Nashville.”

Juliette Needs To Be Involved – Granted, Hayden Panettiere’s real life baby might make this tough, but Juliette needs to be involved in other people’s storylines. “Nashville” is typically good at connecting the various characters. Even Teddy (Eric Close) has a sudden friendship with Jeff (Oliver Hudson) to keep him involved. Juliette has kept to herself this season, with the exception of storming into Rayna’s office to play her demos.

Zoey Stays In California – Zoey (Chaley Rose) really never added much to the storyline. In episode 9, it seemed like she left Nashville for good. Let’s keep it that way.

Scarlett And Gunnar Reunite – Scarlett (Clare Bowen) doesn’t seem to be ready for romance, but she seems to be ready to get back on stage. After filling in for Zoey at a music festival, Scarlett finally seems comfortable onstage. It might be time to start singing with Gunnar (Sam Palladio) again (and let’s face it, those songs were always the best songs).
