“Nashville” Season 6 ended with a cliffhanger last week. Juliette returned to Music City at the worst possible moment, right as Avery was getting hot and heavy with Alannah on the couch. A new sneak-peek video from episode 13 reveals Juliette’s surprising reaction.

While viewers only saw Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) shocked expression last week on the CMT drama, the new video clip reveals that the country star has grown. She doesn’t get angry or throw a fit. She looks hurt, but she isn’t throwing it in Avery’s (Jonathan Jackson) face. She just wants to see her daughter.

“It’s fine. It’s fine. I just needed to see the baby,” she says.

Alannah (Rainee Blake), however, isn’t going to stick around for this family reunion. She books it out of there, but not before she and Juliette have an awkward introduction. Avery follows his new love interest to the door.

“I don’t know what to do,” he says. Despite all the crazy things he has been through, it’s fair to say none of it prepared him for his ex-wife escaping from a cult. Still, Avery knows he has to check in on her.

“I have to make sure she’s O.K. I’ll call you in a little while,” he promises.

Avery is showing interest, but Alannah is definitely freaked out upon seeing his baby mama. She always has one foot out the door in her relationships, and this is a pretty good reason for her to hit the road. “You don’t have to,” Alannah says.

“I want to,” he assures her. Still, she doesn’t look convinced.

Juliette has bigger concerns than Avery. She wants to take down the cult and rescue the woman who helped save her. She also wants to be a mother to her daughter again. It’ll be a lot for the singer to take on.

She’ll have a less dramatic reunion with an old friend, Hallie (Rhiannon Giddens). The Christian singer will support Juliette while she tries to piece her life back together.

Elsewhere in episode 13, Alannah will realize her album suddenly isn’t on the fast track anymore. Deacon (Charles Esten) will have to grapple with inviting his father (Ronny Cox) back into his life, and Daphne (Maisy Stella) must step out of her comfort zone if she wants to stay in the competition.
