‘Nashville’ Star Clare Bowen Is Married; See Photos From Her Bachelorette Bash
Scarlett has a seriously difficult love life on CMT’s “Nashville,” but Clare Bowen, who plays the singer, has already found her true love. The actress was married over the weekend.
People reports that Bowen married longtime boyfriend Brandon Robert Young in Nashville, Tennessee, Saturday. Their friend John Carter Cash, son of country legends Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, officiated the ceremony in Cedar Hill Refuge.
Ahead of her wedding, however, the Australian actress celebrated with her best gal pals. Photos from her bachelorette party show Bowen having a great time with friends on a boat.
Bowen had a tiara and a gold sparkly dress for the festivities on the water, and glitter may have been a theme for the night. Her friends were also in shiny dresses, and even her unicorn cake seemed to have some edible glitter.
Other photos in the Instagram album below show the “Little by Little” singer and her friends attending an aerial fitness class at the Miss Fit Academy in downtown Nashville. A professional showed them how to perform acrobatics while hanging on aerial silks. Judging from the photos Bowen’s friends shared, it looks like it was a fun final night as a single lady.
The fun continued into Bowen’s wedding day. She posted a photo of the sunrise and later showed off her wedding shoes. The Jimmy Choos couldn’t handle all of her dancing and an embellishment fell off.
Bowen has admitted that she didn’t grow up dreaming of her wedding day. She didn’t really think of herself as the type until she met Young. “My parents waltzing their way through @sydneyairport to come help me do all the things I never thought I’d do, because I never thought I’d get married, because that’s something that happened to other people. I really had no interest in it at all... Then @brandonrobertyoung turned up and turned everything upside down,” she wrote on Instagram earlier this month.
Bowen and Young got engaged on Dec. 5, 2015. Young popped the question while they were performing together on stage at the Ryman in Nashville.
Their Tennessee ceremony is likely the first of two weddings for the couple. In winter, Bowen said she was planning a ceremony down under as well.
“We are having weddings in Australia and the U.S.,” she told the Daily Telegraph in January.
