In 1905, Frank Epperson, who was 11 years old at that time, made the snack for the first time by mixing powdered soda and leaving it overnight with a stick in it. The temperature dropped low at night and the following morning, he noticed that his mixture became liquid frozen. He then named it 'Epsicle,' which eventually became a popsicle.
