National Donut Day 2019 Freebies: 10 Places To Get Free Donuts June 7
If there’s anything better than the long stretch of summer, it’s free food. More specifically, what’s even better is free donuts. Thankfully, in honor of National Donut Day, that’s a big reality.
On Friday, June 7, restaurants nationwide will offer some deals in honor of the holiday, and the celebration isn’t just in honor of deep-fried dough covered in frosting. In fact, the holiday was actually created to honor the Salvation Army Donut Lassies, who made fresh donuts for American soldiers serving during World War I.
Thankfully, everyone can partake in the celebrations. Before Friday officially rolls around, check out which places you can visit in order to get a free donut.
- Doughnut Plant NYC: Get a free donut with mini carnival sprinkles with any purchase.
- Duck Donuts: At participating locations, customers can enjoy either a free bare, cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar donut with no additional purchase.
- Dunkin Donuts: Head into your local Dunkin on Friday and get a free donut with any beverage purchase.
- East Main And Main: According to a Facebook post, this Long Island donut shop will be offering free mini donuts to their first 100 customers.
- Krispy Kreme: Go into any shop and order any doughnut you like to get it for free. Plus, if donut lovers help the chain give away 1 million doughnuts total, they’ll be able to enjoy a second free donut giveaway later this month, when the chain unveils what it calls an “out of this world” new creation.
- LaMar’s Donuts: While customers can get a free Famous Donut on June 7, the chain is also asking for donations to the Salvation Army to aid in fighting children’s hunger.
- Mighty-O Donuts: While this Seattle restaurant isn’t offering any freebies, they are donating a portion of the proceeds from donut sales (10 percent total) to help eliminate school lunch debt.
- Shipley Do-Nuts: With any purchase, enjoy a free glazed do-nut at participating locations.
- Top Pot Doughnuts: At this Seattle eatery, celebrate with a full day of events including Seattle’s biggest doughnut eating contest and a performance by Recess Monkey.
- Voodoo Doughnut: Celebrate the holiday Friday with the chain’s classic Homer Doughnut, which will sell for just $1.00.
