Today, June 3rd, is the National Donut Day and local Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme shop are giving out free donuts throughout the whole day.

At Krispy Kreme shop every customer will get a free donut without any purchase.

However, at Dunkin Donuts, customer have to buy a beverage to get a free donut. (Other than bottle of soda and cool drinks)

National Donut Day is on the first Friday of June each year. The event was started by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

Various American donuts shops give out free donuts on National Donut Day.
