National Jelly Bean Day 2022: Quotes That Prove The Colorful Candies Are Pure Love
No American household can ever go without stacking jars of Jelly Beans, given the fact that they are so well-loved by the children and grown-ups alike.
Even though normally perceived as sugary lollies meant for some pastime indulgence, Jelly Beans have a deeper connection with its fans who give embarrassing accounts of trying them out for fun experiments as kids, including using them as lip tints.
Jelly Beans were invented by William Schrafft, a sweet maker from Boston, and have been around since the early 19th century. Its popularity soared in 1930 when the colorful treats became synonymous with Easter due to their egg-like appearance.
A box of the sugary candies filled with jelly centers has, for long, made statement additions to gift boxes and even earned a public mention by the former American President Ronald Reagan, who confessed to having the candies a little too much to keep his nicotine addiction at bay.
The tasty candies are, therefore, widely celebrated in the U.S. on National Jelly Beans Day which falls on April 22 every year. To mark the occasion, here are some beautiful quotes about Jelly Beans: (Courtesy: Goodreads)
