National Pancake Day 2022: How To Get Free IHOP Pancakes On March 1
For breakfast lovers, one of the best days of the year kicks off on Tuesday. The International House of Pancakes, also known as IHOP, will celebrate National Pancake Day by giving a free short stack of pancakes to customers on March 1.
The restaurant chain will be running its first-ever “Month of Giving,” starting with National Pancake Day at participating restaurants. Customers have from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visit IHOP for a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
The freebie deal is limited to one short stack per guest and is only available to customers who dine in the restaurant.
Although the popular dish is free, guests are encouraged to donate by purchasing wall tags in the restaurant for $1, adding a donation to their IHOP.com order, or rounding up to the nearest dollar on their check at the restaurant.
Customers can also donate to a specific charity by visiting IHOP’s National Pancake Day website.
Donations made to IHOP during its “Month of Giving” will go to funding healthcare services at local children’s hospitals, including crucial life-saving treatments.
“For the past 16 years, IHOP has celebrated its own national holiday, National Pancake Day, a one-day, in-restaurant event where guests enjoy a free Short Stack together under IHOP's blue roof,” said Kieran Donahue, chief marketing officer at IHOP.
“We know that our restaurants are an integral part of the communities that we serve, and for more than 63 years, we’ve prided ourselves on giving back to where our guests live, work, and play. Our Month of Giving event has an important purpose as every dollar raised during IHOP’s National Pancake Day campaign stays local and supports the nearest children’s hospital associated with the charity partners.”
IHOP’s charity partners include Shriners Hospitals for Children, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Over the years, IHOP’s celebration of National Pancake Day has raised more than $30 million for children’s hospitals across the country.
