National Prosecco Day 2019: Recipes, Bottles And Specials To Enjoy
Forget about Taco Tuesday, on Aug. 13, crack open a bottle of your favorite bubbly in honor of National Prosecco Day. This alcohol-themed holiday celebrates the crisp taste of one of the most popular sparkling wines in the US.

PROSECCO

RECIPES
Ruffino Peach Thyme Bellini
Ingredients:
- 3 parts Ruffino Prosecco
- 1 part peach puree
- 1 drop of bitters Sprig of Thyme
Place the peach puree in the bottom of a chilled flute. Fill the glass with Ruffino Prosecco and add the bitters. Stir the contents together and garnish with a sprig of thyme.
Barefoot Prosecco Pom Pom
Ingredients:
- 3 ½ oz. Barefoot Bubbly Prosecco
- 1 ½ oz. pomegranate juice
- ½ oz. simple syrup
- Dash each of ginger and cinnamon spices
Add the pomegranate juice, simple syrup and spices to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and chill the mixture. Then strain the contents into a chilled champagne flute and top with Barefoot Bubbly Prosecco.
Hibiscus Cocktail
Ingredients:
- Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
- Whole hibiscus flowers, packed in syrup
- 8 tsp. of hibiscus syrup used to pack the flowers
Place a whole hibiscus flower in the bottom of a glass, and fill the glass with Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG to ¾” of the rim. Then carefully spoon 2 tsp of the hibiscus syrup down the interior side of each glass.
Cavit Frosecco
Ingredients:
- A frozen bottle of Cavit Prosecco
- ¼ cup fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons sweetener
Pour a bottle of Cavit Prosecco into a freezer-proof container and freeze it overnight. Add the frozen Prosecco, fresh lime juice, fresh lemon juice, sweetener and a ½ cup of ice to a blender. Agave is a great choice for this cocktail, but sugar or another sweetener can also be used. After blending the ingredients for a few seconds, serve and enjoy your tart Frosecco.
Ruffino Ruby Squeeze
Ingredients:
- 2 parts Ruffino Prosecco
- 1 ½ parts fresh grapefruit juice
- 1 part Campari
- ¾ parts honey syrup (2:1 honey to water)
- Grapefruit slice
Combine the ingredients in a highball glass with ice. Garnish the beverage with a grapefruit slice.
Crystalized
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz. Crystal Head Vodka
- 1 oz. St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- 3 oz. Prosecco
- Fresh lime
Add Crystal Head and St-Germain to a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a stemmed glass. Slowly top with Prosecco and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime. Use a thin slice of lime to garnish the cocktail.
Brunchy Bubbly Berry Pineapple Mimosa
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Seagram’s Pineapple Vodka
- ½ oz. strawberry syrup
- ½ oz. lemon juice
- Prosecco
- Strawberry
- Citrus peel
Place all of the ingredients, except for the prosecco, in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, then strain the mixture into a champagne glass. Top the drink with prosecco and garnish with a strawberry and citrus peel.
St. Germain Prosecco
Ingredients:
- ½ part Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG
- ½ part St. Germain
- 2-3 drops Angostura Bitters per glass
- Lemon slices
Pour the St. Germain into wine glasses and add drops of Angostura bitters. Top with Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG, and garnish the cocktail with a lemon slice.
Lavender Prosecco Punch
Ingredients:
- 1 Part Prosecco
- 1 Part Black Raspberry Sparkling Ice
- Small lavender sprig
Place a lavender sprig in a chilled flute and pour in the prosecco. Top the beverage with Black Raspberry Sparkling Ice, and garnish with a small lavender sprig.
Sweet Olive
Ingredients:
- Stella Rosa Imperiale Prosecco
- ½ oz. Amaro
- ½ oz. Aperol
- Dash of olive juice
- Castelvetrano olive
- Orange wedge
Add Amaro, Aperol and olive juice to a glass. Stir the contents together, and top the cocktail with Stella Rosa Imperiale Prosecco. Garnish with a castelvetrano olive and an orange wedge.
