Friday is National Sanctity of Human Life Day, celebrated to recognize the value of every human life. The day is set on the anniversary of the 1973 Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court Decision.

In the Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court Decision, it was ruled that the U.S. Constitution must protect a pregnant woman’s right to choose to have an abortion. Meanwhile, as one of the final acts as president, Donald Trump issued a proclamation Monday declaring Friday as National Sanctity of Human Life Day.
