National Siamese Cat Day is marked annually on April 6 to celebrate the existence of the royal felines, who make our life perfect.

Siamese cats originated in Thailand, and were once known as "Siam." One of the oldest breeds to have originated from Asia, these cats have an average life expectancy of 8 to 12 years.

This breed was often called the "Royal Cat of Siam," as it is believed they were kept only by Siamese royalty.

Most of these felines are born completely white in color, and sometimes start developing distinctive markings a week after their birth. This day is for these specific cat species, but all cat lovers can mark this day by spending time with their felines.
