National Sisters Day 2016: 10 Sets Of Celebrity Siblings Who Can Celebrate On Aug. 7 [PHOTOS]
Some families are lucky enough to have more than one child make it in the entertainment business. These talented siblings can relate to each other about the pressures of the industry as well as normal family problems. They also get to celebrate National Sisters Day on Aug. 7. In honor of the holiday, check out a few of the most famous sisters in Hollywood:
Mary-Kate, Ashley and Elizabeth Olsen — Two of the most famous twins in America, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, have stepped away from the cameras to focus on their fashion lines. However, their sister Elizabeth Olsen seems to enjoy the limelight. She plays Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and stars in several acclaimed indie films.
Mamie, Grace and Louisa Gummer — Meryl Streep’s daughters have all followed her into the industry. Mamie Gummer starred alongside her mother in “Ricki and the Flash” while Grace Gummer is currently starring in “Mr. Robot” Season 2. Louisa Gummer is a model.
Zooey and Emily Deschanel — Both of these sisters are employed by Fox. Emily Deschanel is heading into her final season on the drama “Bones” while Zooey Deschanel is starting her sixth season on the comedy “New Girl.”
Vera and Taissa Farmiga — These sisters have a flair for telling scary stories. Taissa Farmiga’s big break came with the first season of “American Horror Story” while Vera Farmiga stars in “Bates Motel.” The two aren’t always in horror TV shows though. Vera directed her sister, who is 21 years younger, in the 2011 drama “Higher Ground.”
Tia and Tamera Mowry — These twins have come a long way since “Sister, Sister” and have moved on to separate projects. Tia starred in “Instant Mom” from from 2013-15 and now works on her podcast “Mostly Mom with Tia Mowry.” Tamera is a host on “The Real.”
Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears — Britney Spears is preparing to release her ninth studio album, “Glory,” while Jamie Lynn Spears released her first country EP in 2014. The southern sisters support each other all the time. Jamie has recently been tweeting about Brit's new album, and the older sibling introduced Jamie Lynn when she played the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville earlier this year.
Gigi and Bella Hadid — These supermodel sisters don’t always work together, but sometimes they get lucky. In March, they both walked the Miu Miu runway during New York Fashion Week.
Beyoncé and Solange Knowles — Beyoncé might be a bit more famous than her sister, but they both share a passion for music. While Beyoncé is touring in support of “Lemonade,” Solange revealed on Instagram that she finished recording her fourth studio album in June.
Dakota and Elle Fanning — Dakota Fanning had her big break first with roles in “I Am Sam” and “Uptown Girls,” but Elle Fanning is stealing the spotlight these days with lead roles in “Maleficent” and “About Ray.”
The Kardashian-Jenner Family — No list of celebrity sisters is complete without the Kardashian-Jenner brood. Younger siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner are now just as famous as their older sisters, Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian.
