Naya Rivera Reportedly Called Off Divorce From Ryan Dorsey
Did Naya Rivera just have a change of heart? The “Glee” alum has apparently called off her divorce from her estranged husband, Ryan Dorsey.
Rivera has reportedly dismissed her divorce filing from her 34-year-old ex last week, as per court documents obtained by Us Weekly. It wasn’t known what led the 30-year-old actress-singer to officially terminate her marriage with Dorsey on Nov. 15, 2016 nor what made her change her mind.
Despite being mum on the issue, an anonymous source has revealed to E! News that Rivera and Dorsey have once again rekindled their romance. “She is back together with Ryan Dorsey,” the source said. “They want to make it work for the sake of their son.”
Rivera and Dorsey first dated prior to the actress’ romance with Big Sean. When Big Sean called off their wedding a year after their engagement in 2013, Rivera reunited with Dorsey and even shocked fans when they tied the knot just three months later. The couple then welcomed their first child, a boy named Josey Hollis, in September 2015.
Two years after being married to each other, Rivera once again made headlines after filing for divorce from Dorsey, citing irreconcilable differences. Additionally, the actress requested for legal and physical custody of Josey Hollis and demanded that Dorsey only get visitation rights.
“After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage,” the ex-couple said at the time in a joint statement. “Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time.”
The reconcilation of the two stars comes after Rivera’s brief romance with David Spade, which ended in June. Back in April, Rivera dished to Momtastic that she and Dorsey were getting along well when she talked about their co-parenting duties. “It’s always going to have its challenges logistically, but Josey is our priority,” the actress said at the time. “We’re his parents.”
