Naya Rivera Update: What Celebrities Are Saying About Former 'Glee' Star's Disappearance
On Wednesday, Naya Rivera was reported missing after taking a boat out on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California, with her 4-year-old son, Josey Hollis Dorsey. After the child was found alone on the rented pontoon boat, they discovered that an adult-size life vest was still aboard. At this time, she is "presumed drowned."
Now, as police continue searching for the former "Glee" star, several celebrities are sharing their concern for both Rivera and her son on Twitter.
Following the news of Rivera's assumed accident, "Glee" star Heather Morris (who played Rivera's wife on the Fox comedy) posted to her Instagram Story, "We need all the prayers we can get to bring our Naya back home to us. We need your love and light."
Demi Lovato, who played Rivera's "Glee" love interest for a short period of time, added to her Insta Story, "Please pray for @nayarivera to be found safe and sound."
Elsewhere, YouTuber Colleen Ballinger, who is known for her character Miranda Sings, indicated that she started praying for her safety.
"Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen also expressed that he "can't stop thinking of her poor son" following the news of her disappearance.
CW actor Justin Baldoni, who portrayed Rafael Solano on "Jane the Virgin," and former star of NBC's "Community" Yvette Nicole Brown additionally shared that they were praying for her as well.
Comedian Jackée Harry shared her thoughts about Rivera as well since she had worked with her when she was a child. "We starred alongside one another in her first very television series, The Royal Family, and I’ve watched her career blossom ever since. Please God, don’t cut this life short," she wrote, as seen in the tweet below.
As for what's ahead surrounding the official efforts to find the 33-year-old, the search was suspended overnight but is set to resume Thursday morning at "first light," according to the Ventura County Sheriff. As for Josey, whose father is Rivera's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, CBS Los Angeles reports that police attempted to reunite him with family members on Wednesday night after he was found alone on the rented pontoon boat.
