Naya Rivera Was The Only Person Honest About Lea Michele's Behavior On Set, Heather Morris Says

Naya Rivera was the only person who was honest about Lea Michele's behavior on the "Glee" set, according to Heather Morris.

Last summer, Michele was accused by Samantha Ware of making her life on the set of the musical TV series a "living hell." And just recently, Morris released a statement on Twitter about the issue and confirmed that Michele was "unpleasant" to work with.

When Morris appeared in the "Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino" podcast this week, she was asked to elaborate on her statement. She admitted that she received "so much shade" after the post because the people were wondering why it was so cryptic and why she could not just go out and say her concerns out loud.

"And I'm like, 'Guys, she's pregnant, and all this stuff is going around,'" she was quoted by People as saying of Michele, who welcomed her first baby, Ever Leo, in August.

"It's true. And I don't know if maybe we were victims of bullying and that's a typical victim thing to do, is to blame yourself, which people were saying."

Morris confirmed that Michele had an attitude on set and said it was only Rivera who was honest about it. "But it also is very true. And the only person who was honest about it was Naya," she continued. Rivera tragically drowned in July 2020 in the northeast part of Lake Piru less than a week after she was reported missing.

Michele's behavior on set was kept a secret and she implied that the set was not as enjoyable, saying, "We all deserve to feel comfortable on a set."

"It was something that was very hush-hush on set, and now you see all these things coming out, these bigger names who were disrespectful and mistreated a lot of people, and people allowed that to happen. I know, genuinely, I didn't feel like it was my place. I don't know why — because I was a cast member just like everybody else," she continued.

Aside from Ware and Morris, Dabier Snell, who had a minor role in a 2014 episode, claimed that Michele was mean to him. He called Michele "fake" and said he had "bad memories of being less than on set of ‘Glee’."

"GIRL YOU WOULDNT LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE ‘I DIDNT BELONG THERE’ [explicit] YOU LEA," he wrote.

Michele had already apologized for her misbehavior. She released a statement on Instagram owning her mistake while expressing how sorry she was for her attitude.

“Whether it was my privileged position and perspective that caused me to be perceived as insensitive or inappropriate at times or whether it was just my immaturity and me just being unnecessarily difficult, I apologize for my behavior and for any pain which I have caused,” she wrote.
