Naya Rivera's death certificate revealed that she drowned within minutes and there were no other significant conditions that led to her death.

The "Glee' star has been laid to rest two weeks after drowning in a Southern California lake earlier this month. The actress died within a manner of "minutes," according to her death certificate obtained by People.

The document also showed that there were no other significant conditions that contributed to her death and she was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on July 24. Rivera's death certificate was filed in Ventura County, California.

On July 14, the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed in a press release that she died from "drowning."

“The circumstances and visual characteristics all indicated that the body was that of Naya Rivera and the identity has been confirmed by dental comparison,” the press release read.

“The body has been x-rayed and a full autopsy has been performed. The autopsy findings are consistent with a drowning and the condition of the body is consistent with the time that she was submerged. No traumatic injuries or disease processes were identified at autopsy.”

Authorities also stated that there was no indication that drugs or alcohol contributed to her death.

Rivera went missing during a trip to Ventura County's Lake Piru with her 4-year-old son, Josey Dorsey, on July 8. She was confirmed dead five days later after the authorities recovered her body in the northeast part of Lake Piru.

Rivera rented a pontoon boat with her son during the trip. However, it became overdue for return after the three-hour rental was over and the staff found it at the north side of the lake with Josey sleeping alone on board wearing a life jacket. The tot said he and his mom were swimming in the lake and he got back in the boat, but she didn’t.

Robert Inglis of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office search & rescue team believed that strong winds contributed to Rivera's drowning. The gusts may have blown the boat away from Rivera and her son while they were swimming and she tried to swim after the boat.

Swimming can be exhausting and according to reports, she used all her strength to get her son back onto the boat. Unfortunately, she didn’t have enough energy to save herself.
