NBA 2K22 Introduces New Feature Once Limited To MyTEAM Players

With a new season on the horizon, fans across all platforms are pre-ordering the latest NBA 2K game.

The game has been a mainstay on any basketball fan’s console, and even the league’s players are joining in on the action on their day-offs, especially last year when the league held its own 2K tournament after the season was postponed due to the global pandemic.

As the juggernaut franchise continues to soldier on every year with more and more features, the developers have announced that they will be adding a new feature to the game called “Seasons.”

Fans of the game will recognize it as the main reason everyone played MyTEAM in NBA 2K21--with a fervent passion every couple of weeks as it features rewards that are only available for a limited time.

With much excitement, the developers have announced that “Seasons” has been expanded to cover the entirety of NBA 2K22.

Whether fans enjoy the single-player and multiplayer grind of MyCAREER, the digital card-collecting bonanza that is MyTEAM, or the WNBA-centric game mode called The W Online (introduced to next-gen consoles for NBA 2K21), fans have new ways of earning rewards and new content at no additional cost every “Season.”

Each “Season” lasts for six weeks and players can expect new content to drop every time.

NBA 2K recognizes the fans’ need for new music once in a while, and with every “Season,” fans can play to their hearts’ content with new music blaring through their speakers thanks to “First Friday.”

“First Friday” will see up-and-coming artists and world-renowned musicians join a superb soundtrack that features Travis Scott, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion and Young Thug via Club 2K (available only on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S/X] throughout the year.

Players who enjoy dressing up their NBA 2K avatars will have the same opportunity as well with new apparel becoming available every “Season.”

Season 1 of NBA 2K22 will see MyCAREER players race to Level 40 for the new go-kart in-game vehicle, and digital card-collectors are expected to give it their all in MyTEAM for a Pink Diamond Carmelo Anthony.

New and exciting rewards are set to appear every “Season,” and NBA 2K players will have more reason to keep themselves glued on the game every six weeks as Season 1 will kick off a new year of excitement.

NBA 2K22 is set to release on September 10--available via digital download and in stores for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
