  • Chris Paul is one of the league's best point guards
  • Paul was a recipient of a killer crossover by Steph Curry five years ago
  • Paul pays respect to Curry for pulling off such a move

Chris Paul is known as the point god. A nickname was given to him as the elite example of what a point guard should be like.

He entered the league as a young star that led the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets to a series of strong postseason runs. He solidified himself as the league’s top guard early on his career with his ability to facilitate the offense. He’ll either find his teammates or create on his own with his crafty sense of the basketball court.

During his stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, Paul was the head of the powerhouse Lob City squad. In a matchup against the Golden State Warriors, Paul was assigned to guard the hottest shooter in the game Steph Curry.

It was in their matchup that the world was blessed with another highlight play to remember. The play was recently revived on social media as it celebrated its fifth year anniversary. Curry dropped Paul with a behind the back double crossover opening him up for a smooth open jumper – CP3 fell on the floor clean and it remains to as one of the most iconic ankle breakers in the league.

With the situation in the league now, athletes have made their best efforts to connect with the fans. Paul took to social media and a live feed to address the people and the community.

He talked about some moments in his career and one topic that was brought up was the infamous play with him and Curry. Curry eventually joined him live and Paul wanted to make sure he addressed the comments about ankle breakers.

“You know the anniversary of this passed,” he opened up. “Listen, listen. He got me,” he admitted.

Curry though understands that these situations happen despite him being responsible for the play. “You gotta laugh, you gotta laugh at yourself,” the two-time MVP said.

To which Paul agrees with as the league, the Internet and the whole world continues to buzz on the play whenever it’s brought up. He goes on to share that his own son is always the first to talk trash to him about it.
