KEY POINTS

- Asked about LaMelo wearing BBB shoes when he’s in the NBA, LaVar is not sure about if his son will wear them
The Big Baller Brand is back and in full swing after taking some time off to restructure the brand and LaVar Ball cannot help but be happy with the developments of the new BBB.
Triple B’s are back but it is still not guaranteed if we are going to see them on an NBA floor now that the youngest of the brothers is about to enter the league as one of the top picks in the 2020 NBA Draft. When asked if LaMelo Ball will be rocking the BBB shoes once he’s in the league in an interview posted on TMZ Sports, the BBB CEO still does not have the answer for that.
"Will he be wearing a Big Baller Brand shoe? I don't know. You're going to have to stay tuned for that man," said the father of the Ball brothers.
LaVar also shared the changes that will be happening with his beloved brand. “It’s going to be bigger and better. I’m just like any other businessman, once you start off, you gotta start off on a certain plateau,” he said. “Everybody like to always say ‘Oh, he has some bumps and bruises’, I ain’t (have) no bumps and bruises. It’s just somebody who did something bad within the company,” Ball referring to former business partner Alan Foster.
“But the Big Baller Brand is a family brand and we’ll just gonna keep moving forward.”
Lavar also said that he is happy about the new designs of their products and the current management, saying that he learned a lot with them.
But Lavar Ball doing LaVar Ball things, he is confident that his youngest son will be the top overall pick in the upcoming draft. “Top? What do you call at the top? What number do he wear?” while referring to Melo’s jersey no. 1.
“That’s we gonna go. What number does Lonzo wear? That’s why he went number two,” said LaVar who is playing with the jersey numbers of his sons. “Ay, you lucky Gelo did his little fiasco going the other way or he would have been the number three pick,” he added.
During his stint in the Australian NBL, he averaged 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.7 steals for the Illawarra Hawks while being named as the youngest player ever to record a triple-double in league’s history.
