The Golden State Warriors are confident they can come up with a good showing this 2019-20 NBA season. Unfortunately, they have to go through some bumpy roads. So far, they have dropped back-to-back losses, both blowouts.

In their season-opener, the Dubs fell to the souped-up Los Angeles Clippers, 141-122. Their second assignment didn't go much better. They were blasted by the Oklahoma City Thunder, 120-92. From the two results alone, it is evident that the Warriors are struggling. In fact, the frustrations can be seen - particularly in their last game.

Stephen Curry, tasked to double his efforts, was slapped a technical foul for his inadvertent hit on Terrance Ferguson. Moments later, D'Angelo Russell was slapped two consecutive technical fouls for getting into the referee's face. And as most observed, no one even bothered to hold back the 23-year-old guard, Yahoo Sports reported.

The Warriors team right now is far from the same team most saw the previous years. Most knew it was coming but not all expected it to be this horrendous. Draymond Green, another player tasked to step up for the Dubs, admitted that their performance so far sucks in an interview with The Athletic.

“I didn’t have this feeling that it would be like this,” Green said. “You have to figure s--t wouldn’t be the same, but I didn’t think we’d be getting our a-- kicked like this. It’s pretty bad.”

It is a process that the Warriors, unfortunately, need to undergo. Green is aware of it and even singled out Tim Duncan as perhaps the only player not to go through it. In all, the 29-year-old just needs to go with it until the Dubs can make the necessary tweaks.

Head coach Steve Kerr seems pretty aware of what is happening right now. He pointed out how they are sorely lacking players in certain positions. Kerr also explained how they have to adjust with only nine players suiting up.

“We haven’t established much. We’re playing without centers, and we’re playing with nine players. I realize I’m making plenty of excuses, but they’re real... We have to build that back up with these young guys, and it takes time. This is not easy,” said Kerr in another tweet by The Athletic.

The Warriors will visit the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 28. The Pels are also winless after three games but will enjoy the home-court advantage. Tip-off is at 10:00 p.m. with the New Orleans a 3-point favorite to win on the spread line.
