The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty might not have ended with their loss to the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals. The team that’s won three of the last five championships is expected to be one of the top contenders for next year’s title.

Hours after Game 6, Golden State is given +600 betting odds to win the 2020 NBA Finals, via New Jersey’s FanDuel Sportsbook. That puts them tied with the champion Toronto Raptors and ahead of any team in the West.

The Milwaukee Bucks are the new favorites with +450 championship odds. Toronto is just behind Milwaukee in the East at +600, even though the Raptors beat the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals

The odds quickly changed amid the news that Klay Thompson suffered a torn ACL in the last game of the finals. Golden State was initially named the betting favorite to win the 2020 NBA Finals, but the Splash Brother could miss most, if not all, of next season.

Toronto will probably become the favorites if Kawhi Leonard re-signs with the Raptors. The two-time NBA Finals MVP might leave for Los Angeles in free agency.

Kevin Durant has been largely expected to leave the Warriors, though he won’t affect the title next year because of his torn Achilles that will force him to miss all of the 2019-2020 season.

The Houston Rockets have been the biggest threat to the Warriors over the last two years in the Western Conference. They are second in the West with +850 title odds. Maybe Houston will finally be able to beat Golden State now that Stephen Curry will be their only star for most of the year, though the Rockets were eliminated by a banged up Warriors’ team in the conference semifinals.

The Los Angeles Lakers also have +850 odds. They are the favorites to trade for Anthony Davis this summer. With one max salary slot, the Lakers could potentially add Davis and another All-star to a team that already features LeBron James.

The Philadelphia 76ers have +1100 odds. They are followed by the Denver Nuggets (+1600), Boston Celtics (+1600) and Los Angeles Clippers (+1600).
