An ex-Clipper is looking forward to facing Kawhi Leonard and his former team.

Ahead of the much awaited NBA match-up between the Clippers and the Lakers, former Clippers guard Avery Bradley, who is now a Laker, addressed his thoughts regarding his former team.

In a press conference during the Lakers Media Day, Bradley stated that the so-called “LA rivalry” is not only good for the NBA for the city of Los Angeles as well.

“I think it’s good, not only for the NBA, but it’s gonna be good for the city of Los Angeles, diplomatically. This is what the city is all about – great sports teams. And having two competitive organizations be the center of the game of basketball, I think it’s gonna be good,” Bradley stated.

More importantly, Bradley revealed that he is excited to see how he will match against his former team which is now about to be led by Leonard, the NBA superstar who started the LA rivalry.

“I’m looking forward to playing against those guys. They were able to put together a great team this summer and, like I said, I think it’s good for the sport. We play this game to compete against the best players and the best teams, so I’m looking forward to going up against those guys,” Bradley noted.

The Lakers has already started their training camp. And based on Coach Frank Vogel’s statement, it appears that Bradley could have a big year next season.

“We’ve got two of the best players in the world competing together and all anybody’s talking about is Avery Bradley’s tenaciousness. That speaks volumes about what he’s been able to show in the first couple of days,” Vogel revealed.

Bradley on his part, also revealed what playing with superstars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis is for him. According to Bradley, the duo brings out the best in him.

“I feel like whenever you can surround yourself with the superstars in LeBron (James) and Anthony Davis, you have to be on your ‘A’ game,” Bradley said.

Meanwhile, after the recent Clippers Media Day, sports fans proved that Los Angeles is still a Lakers town and showed no love for Leonard during a recent Los Angeles Rams game. LA rapper Snoop Dogg spoke about the issue and insisted that LA still got love for Leonard and Paul George and the “booing” incident during the NFL game has nothing to do with Leonard playing for the Clippers.
