Michael Jordan once insulted Reggie Miller and their relationship has never been the same since then.

In 1998, at some point during Jordan’s twilight years in the NBA, he said something about his fight with Miller in a postgame interview. The GOAT’s comment reportedly insulted Miller since it apparently crossed the line of the Pacer’s manhood.

According to Things.com’s “8 People That Dislike Michael Jordan,” MJ described battling with Miller like “chicken-fighting with a woman” because of the sharpshooter’s “slim physique.”

“It's like chicken-fighting with a woman. His game is all this flopping-type thing. He weighs only 185 pounds, so you have to be careful, don't touch him, or it's a foul,” Jordan said about battling Miller inside the court.

Miller was reportedly offended by Jordan’s statement and the two shooting guards have had issues getting along since then.

Roughly four years ago, Miller recounted another incredible story about Jordan. During Miller’s rookie season, he remembered that in the first half of his first encounter with Jordan, he put up 10 points while the Bulls star only had 4. This prompted Miller to lay down some of his signature trash talk on the greatest basketball player to ever play the game.

Based on Miller’s recollection, he teased Jordan by saying that “there’s a new kid in town,” USA Today reported.

“Michael, who do you think you are? The great Michael Jordan? There’s a new kid in town,” Miller recalled.

However, as the game progressed, Miller added just 2 points across his name and Jordan recorded a whopping 44 points. If it had ended there, Miller would have known his place. But apparently, Jordan retaliated and warned him to never talk to “Black Jesus” like that again ever.

“At the end of the game, [Jordan] ended up with 44, and I ended up with 12,” Miller revealed.

“As he’s walking off he says, ‘Be sure you never talk to black Jesus like that,'” Miller continued.

Miller has been known in the NBA as a player who really knows how to get under his opponent’s skin. In fact, aside from Jordan, he also had an epic rivalry with New York Knicks legend John Starks.

Looking back at his rivalry with Miller, Starks revealed that guarding the former Pacers star was his toughest assignment back then. He also noted that Miller is “special” because of the fact that he likes to play the villain while inside the court.

“He was special in that way. He liked being the villain. Most guys don’t like that role, especially in the modern NBA. But Reggie embraced it. I think that’s what made him special when he came to the Garden,” Starks said.
