Dennis Schroder is on the move again after he was traded alongside Enes Kanter Freedom to the Houston Rockets by the Boston Celtics.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Boston sent the German guard to the Rockets with Kanter Freedom and Bruno Fernando for Daniel Theis.

The Celtics reportedly decided to trade Schroder, aware that they may not be able to retain the 28-year-old guard after the current season as he is expected to seek a higher deal in the summer.

His transfer to Houston also gives Schroder a new lease to show what he can do.

But given his performance, Schroder will need to prove his worth for the rest of the way.

This season, the German guard is averaging 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.

To land his dream deal, he will need to push himself some more to justify a lofty deal. The same holds if he opts to check out the market and get an offer from other teams.

Although Schroder certainly could help the Rockets, the rebuilding franchise wants to invest the majority of on-court quality minutes into their young backcourt players such as Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green and Josh Christopher.

With Schroder having worn three different jerseys in the past 15 months, it raises the question if he does really have a place in Houston.
