The Denver Nuggets have reportedly engaged in new trade talks that still involve a project player in Bol Bol.

The 7-foot-2 center is headed to the Boston Celtics alongside P.J. Dozier in a three-team trade revealed on Tuesday night, January 18.

The agreement is said to involve the Nuggets, Celtics and San Antonio Spurs.

In return, Denver will acquire Bryn Forbes from the Spurs in the deal reported by ESPN.

Meanwhile, the Spurs will get Juancho Hernangomez and a 2028 second-round pick from the Nuggets.

For Denver, the coming of Forbes was meant to provide added three-point shooting.

Forbes ranks third in three-point field goal percentage over the past four NBA seasons among players with more than 1,000 attempts.

For Boston, the deal will save them roughly $4.3 million in salaries, allowing them to avoid the luxury tax.

It should be noted that Dozier is out for the season due to an ACL tear. He will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

Bol is unlikely to be immediately available after undergoing foot surgery on Tuesday.

The son of the late Manute Bol is expected to be out for at least three months. He is set to become a free agent in the offseason.

It will be recalled that Bol was at the center of that deal with the Detroit Pistons before the trade was nixed.

This was after the beanpole failed a physical in Detroit, voiding the transaction per the report of the Denver Post.

Given the scenarios of Bol and Dozier, it has yet to be known if Boston will waive the two players.

They could be kept until the summer with the Celtics possibly using their Bird Rights in possible transactions in the offseason.

Hernangomez gets the chance to prove his worth after a forgettable stint in Boston as he has hardly seen action and it will be interesting if he can do better under head coach Gregg Popovich.

Forbes has the championship experience for being part of the Milwaukee Bucks that copped the 2020-21 NBA title.

He hardly has eye-popping numbers, averaging just 9.1 points 1.6 rebounds, and an assist in 40 games in his second stint with the Spurs.
