  • The Wizards showed promise in the 2021-22 NBA season

Bradley Beal will need to make a huge decision this NBA offseason. He has options, and one of them is staying on with the Washington Wizards.

However, that is not set in stone. There are several factors that the three-time All-Star needs to consider, including his family's needs and whether a team can help him achieve his dream of winning the championship.

Beal shared these two important factors when he spoke to Taylor Rooks of the Bleacher Report. He made it clear that before he makes a decision, he will need to talk to his family.

"Obviously, I consider my family. What do they wanna do? Where do they wanna live? What are they comfortable with? And, obviously, the team. So, it is surreal in a lot of ways to be in the position I am in. It is crazy numbers. It is what it is. It's uncontrollable. It's out of my control," the 28-year-old cager said.

He continued, "But I'm blessed to be here. Again, I don't shy away from that. I take it on with a full front, and I have to do what's best for me. There is a little anxiety because I have to make the decision, and time is counting down. We're in June now. But it's fun to be in this position."

Beal made it clear that he wants to win, and unless the Wizards can improve their roster, he will likely go to a team that can give him that.

"I know what my decision will be based off of, and that's gonna be where I feel like I can win. That's going to be my decision. If I feel like I can win in D.C., that's what I'm gonna do. I want people to respect that," he said.

During this NBA season, Washington drew a lot of attention when they got off to a great start, NBC Sports reported. But as the season progressed, other teams got their act together. In the end, the Wizards failed to sustain their run, resulting in their failure to make the NBA playoffs.

The good news for the Wizards is that they have shown signs of promise. They have a promising lineup, although tweaks are expected this summer. Assembling a formidable cast will fall largely on Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr.
