NBA Playoffs 2014: Dates, Predictions, TV Schedule And Bracket
After nearly six months, the regular season has finally come to an end. The 2014 NBA Playoffs are set to begin on Saturday, April 19, as 16 teams hope to hoist the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
The Miami Heat are seeking their third consecutive title, but may have an uphill battle to climb. The Indiana Pacers clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, while the San Antonio Spurs earned the top spot in the West. Miami won't have home-court advantage throughout the postseason as they did in 2012-2013.
Last season, the Heat escaped a tight NBA Finals with the Spurs. Should the two teams meet again in the Finals, the Heat will need to win at least one game in San Antonio to three-peat. The Spurs finished with 62 wins in 2013-2014, and clinched home-court advantage throughout the postseason.
Every playoff game will be broadcast on national TV, spread across five different channels. Below is the complete schedule for the first round. Click here for the 2014 NBA playoff bracket.
