The Boston Celtics reportrdly just waived a fan favorite big man to make way for Tacko Fall.

It seems like the C's have found a new crowd favorite as the team just waived Guerschon Yabusele, also known as "Dancing Bear," on Wednesday, according to ESPN. With the way Fall has been standing out lately in summer league, it is really hard not to think that this move by Boston is the start of their future plans for the 7-foot-6 prospect.

The love that Yabusele received from Celtics fans seemed to have been not enough for the franchise to keep him in the roster. Yabusele may have driven the crowd crazy whenever he stepped inside the court, especially with his bow-dab celebration after hitting three-pointers. Unfortunately, he only averaged 2.3 points per game, along with 1.4 rebounds. Clearly, the C's are serious about being Eastern Conference contenders once again, and this could be the reason why the team suddenly decided to let go of a crowd favorite.

However, it appears that the Celtics may have been up to something else rather than just getting rid of a non-performer in the roster. Reports claimed that the move was kind of a first step into a much bigger plan.

According to the New York Post, the Celtics could be opening doors for the tallest prospect in summer league, Fall. The tremendously tall center has had a strong summer league and has been a key factor for the Celtics.

ESPN's official YouTube channel even uploaded a compilation of Fall's NBA Summer League highlights in which he was described as "barely-jumping" star of summer league. The video highlighted how versatile and dominant Fall is in summer league, and it features clips of how he shoots the basketball with just lifting his feet. It also included some footage of Fall showing off his post moves and rebounding abilities.

Fall has been playing well this summer, and even though he has not reached the regular season yet, it seems that he has already established his own fan base. In one of his recent games, while Fall was in the free throw line, the crowd started chanting "MVP" to show their fascination with the big man.

The latest agreement of Fall with the Celtics is an Exhibit 10 contract, but it is strongly believed that the team will start to rearrange his contract after a performing well in this year's summer league.
