The Golden State Warriors are in for a tough season and need all the help they can get. Despite the departure of Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, and Shaun Livingston, the Dubs feel they can still make the playoffs. Unfortunately, there is one guy who doesn't see it happening. He goes by the name of Charles Barkley.

The NBA legend is no stranger to making daring calls on topics. But in this case, Barkley actually shared his analysis in front of Klay Thompson on live television. He told the 29-year-old Warriors swingman that their playoff window is shut, Yahoo Sports reported. Both were with the TNT crew during the Warriors vs. Los Angeles Clippers game.

After seeing the Dubs play two quarters, it appears Barkley was far from impressed. After initially forecasting that the Warriors could probably snag the 7th or 8th spot, Barkley had a change of heart. He feels that the Dubs lack scorers in a highly competitive Western Conference.

“I was wrong before the game. I said they were gonna be the seventh or eighth seed. They’re not going to make the playoffs,” Barkley said. "They just can’t score enough.”

Thompson acted professionally and simply laughed it off. He respects the comments of the NBA great and kept the faith on the young guys.

“Chuck has it right to be a little pessimistic, but I think these young guys are going to step up, man,” said Thompson during that segment.

One player that the Dubs could really use is Thompson. He continues to recover from an ACL injury that he suffered in the 2018-19 NBA Finals. Some feel that he can return by the latter part of the season and give the Dubs a boost. Others feel that it would be best for the three-time NBA champion not to rush his return. Tasked to stand in for him is D'Angelo Russell, someone head coach Steve Kerr is high about.

Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are expected to do their part as well. Both need to step up and lead the younger guys in the team. The Warriors dropped their opening assignment to the Clippers, 122-141. They try to bounce back on Sunday when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder. Tip-off is at 3:30 p.m. EDT at the Chakespeare Energy Arena.
