Andre Iguodala, another NBA veteran swingman who has been linked to several teams, remains with the Memphis Grizzlies despite interest from multiple teams. Rather than trade, teams like the Los Angeles Clippers are still waiting on what the Grizzlies want to do. That includes seeing if they will waive the 35-year-old cager.

Since being traded by the Golden State Warriors last July, nothing has changed for the three-time NBA champion. The Los Angeles Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers were mentioned as possible destinations although the latter seems more inclined to pursue him. In fact, head coach Doc Rivers liked a post on social media, showing Iguodala in a Clippers uniform. That could be an indication that the NBA champion coach is interested and nothing else.

Should a deal be made, the 2015 NBA Finals MVP is likely to come off the bench behind Paul George or Kawhi Leonard. But the impact he would give is on the defensive side. He would join an elite cast that includes Leonard, George, Patrick Beverly and Montrezl Harrell, forming one of the best defensive teams in the league.

With the Grizzlies, Iguodala is set to make $17.8 million for the coming season, according to Spotrac. Memphis would likely be listening to teams who would be willing to take that off their hands and see who they get in return. But if nothing crops up, teams like the Clippers could just opt to wait and see if a buyout happens moving forward. That would be less costly and something that would not be detrimental to their team salary budget.

Hence, all Iguodala can do right now is wait to see what lies ahead. Aside from the Clippers and the Lakers, the Rockets were also mentioned as another team interested in adding him to their fold. Despite his age, his flexibility on the court has become of interest to several teams.

Further, his contributions to the Warriors remain fresh in the minds of interested ballclubs, particularly the ones serious about making a serious run at the Larry O' Brien title. The only drawback is the salary he currently holds. With plenty of teams wary of using up their budget, getting players at a bargain has become essential. This is the reason why most would prefer to see if Iguodala would get waived - undoubtedly the reasonable way to lure him to their fold.
