  • James Harden opts to party than prepare for the 2020-21 NBA season
  • John Wall reportedly had great talks with Harden
  • The Houston Rockets may be forced to trade Harden if he doesn't show up in practice

John Wall, the Houston Rockets' newest acquisition, is looking forward to playing alongside James Harden, someone who has yet to show up at the team’s training facilities.

After spending 10 seasons with the Wizards, Wall will try to recall his All-Star form with his new club. It appears that he and the 2018 NBA MVP have held talks and things are looking good, Marc Stein of the New York Times reported.

While things between Wall and Harden appear to be fine, the same cannot be said for the Rockets management. In the same tweet, Stein mentioned how players were required to report to home markets by Nov. 28 or Nov. 30 to begin daily coronavirus testing.

Complicating matters between Harden and the Rockets is that the eight-time All-Star was spotted partying with rapper Lil Baby.

The 31-year-old gifted the hip-hop artist with a designer Prada bag loaded with goodies. The gift bag is believed to be roughly worth $300,000, TMZ reported.

Though the Rockets are being patient with Harden, the fact that he is being inconsiderate may not sit well with the club's front office as well as its fans.

In a previous post, new head coach Stephen Silas said they were giving Harden space but were confident of seeing him back when training camp opens.

“I’m confident that he will be all in,” Silas said in a report from the Associated Press. “That’s where I’m leaving it. As I said, I’ve given him the space to to do his thing. But I’m confident he’ll be here when we get started.”

Unfortunately, that has not happened. Harden was linked to a possible move to the Brooklyn Nets. Kevin Durant refuted that claim, pointing out that he never spoke to his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate about it.

Right now, there is no telling what is going on in the mind of Harden. But if he continues to hold out, Houston may be forced to shop him since he is not aligned with the Rockets’ objectives for the 2020-21 season.
