Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers knows that he needs to do more if he is to evolve as an NBA superstar. This is one reason why he decided to seek the help of Kobe Bryant, undoubtedly one of the elite players that can teach him a thing or two in surviving in the pro cage league.

This time around, there are no controversies tied. Last month, Simmons caused a bit of a stir when he approached Los Angeles Lakers team president Earvin "Magic" Johnson, seeking ways to improve his game, NBC Sports reported. Unfortunately, the Sixers saw it in another way and sought the help of the NBA to see if Lakers were in another tampering mess.

As it turned out, the NBA found nothing wrong with Simmons seeking advice. Sixers general manager Elton Brand, later on, apologized to Johnson for insinuating that the Lakers had not sought permission to speak with Simmons, Slam Online reported.

On to the current day, Bryant aired his piece on what Simmons need to do. It was actually a no-brainer since that part of the Australian cager's game that needs honing is his shooting, the Herald Sun reported.

“He’s got to get a jump shot,’’ Bryant said. “It sounds stupid and all that but I’m dead ass serious. Because if not, he will regret it when his career is over.’’

Shooting has been the Waterloo of Simmons although he has managed to help Philly in different ways. He can drive and dish but the fact remains that his moves are easy to anticipate.

Bryant knew how to get the job done both inside and outside. Such is the reason why he established himself as one of the NBA's feared scorers and do a little bit of everything.

The moves of Simmons is pretty predictable, a reason why he may not be flourishing in the way he should be. The good news is that at the 22-year-old top pick of the 2016 NBA Draft has the time to develop his jump shot at the least. Once he does that, he is expected to be one of the prime players to watch out in the NBA.
