LaVar Ball is no stranger when it comes to expressing himself and the father of Lonzo Ball made some startling revelations. According to the Ball patriarch, the Los Angeles Lakers promised him that his other son, LiAngelo, would be given a shot with the purple and gold. That never materialized and the 20-year-old son of LaVar went undrafted during the 2018 NBA Draft.

At that time, Magic Johnson was still on board as the team's president. Although there could be other reasons as to why the Lakers opted not to take in LiAngelo, it does provide a new twist in the internal issues that Los Angeles has been dealing with the past months. That includes Johnson revealing how Pelinka stabbed him in the back because the general manager wanted to have control of the embattled franchise. This was covered in detail in a previous post.

Ball's mission as a parent is to get all of his sons in the NBA and play for the same team. And while some may find that ambitious, merely seeing his sons making it to the pro ranks is enough. His reputation also precedes him, some of which leave a lot to be desired. But according to him, promises were made and none came to fruition, Complex.com reported.

"Now if you want Lonzo to lead this team, why don't you get a piece that works well with him which is his brother? You gotta get 'Gelo first. You at least got to give him a chance to play with Lonzo. You should have at least got him in Summer League. I thought they were going to take him with the last pick," Lavar said in that interview on FS1's Undisputed.

Other than that case involving LiAngelo, LaVar also touched on rumors of LeBron James leaving the Lakers if efforts to improve the roster fail. For the 51-year-old, he believes the three-time NBA champion already has enough talent around him to make them win. Hence, he feels that James will not be headed anywhere with the 34-year-old looking at a bigger picture moving forward.

LaVar Ball has been known to shoot out things that may or may not be authentic. However, it is worth noting that he has so far been correct on certain occasions. That includes the Lakers front office implosion which he revealed months before it actually happened. Could this be the same case for LeBron James' future?
