Bradley Beal continues to court interest from other franchises despite holding a contract with the Washington Wizards. The shooting guard was recently offered a three-year $111 million contract extension but he is yet to decide whether to commit his long-term future to the franchise that drafted him 3rd overall in the 2012 Draft.

The Wizards guard’s agent Mark Bartelstein recently told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald that there is nothing new to report with regard to whether Beal has made a decision about signing the extension. The report claims that the Miami Heat are big admirers of the shooting guard and are keen to sign him either via a trade before or when he enters free agency in 2021.

Jackson cites an associate close to Beal and revealed that if the guard does decide to move on from Washington, the Heat are expected to be given a serious consideration about them being his next destination. But he made it clear that Heat were not the favorites and there are other franchises that will be interested in Beal.

Beal has no intention of leaving Wizards at the moment and the report claims that there is a high likelihood of the guard signing the three-year extension as he is very happy with the franchise with regards to how they have communicated with him this offseason before offering the $111 million deal.

Meanwhile, the Wizards also have no intention of letting go of their best player and will only consider a trade if the player requests it by turning down the extension offer. He still has two years remaining on his current deal before he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

Beal had his best NBA season during the 2018-19 campaign with the shooting guard averaging 25.6 points, 5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 82 games playing 36.9 minutes per game. He also celebrated his second All-Star selection this season and he will be hoping to continue his run in 2020.
