The Milwaukee Bucks (43-7) are running away with the best record in the Eastern Conference. A few of the teams competing for the No.2 seed have made moves ahead of the 2020 NBA trade deadline.

The Miami Heat (34-16) are working to finalize a three-team trade that will send Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari to South Beach, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Following a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers (36-15) Wednesday night, the Heat are the East’s No.4 seed.

Miami is a game behind the No.3 seed Boston Celtics (35-15). The Toronto Raptors (37-14) are 1.5 games ahead of Boston for the No.2 seed. The defending champions trail Milwaukee by 6.5 games in the standings.

Neither Boston nor Toronto has been involved in many trade rumors. Pascal Siakam will start in the All-Star Game, putting the Raptors on pace to win more games than they did during Kawhi Leonard’s one season with the team. Siakam is averaging 23.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

The Philadelphia 76ers (31-20) are the No.6 seed after entering the season as one of the favorites in the conference. The team has reportedly completed a trade with the Golden State Warriors (12-40) in hopes of hosting a first-round playoff series.

Alec Burks is averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, shooting 37.5% from three-point range. Glenn Robinson III is averaging 12.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, making 40% of the 3.5 threes he attempts per contest.

The Indiana Pacers (31-20) also stand in Philadelphia’s way.

The No.7 seed Brooklyn Nets (23-27) are not much of a threat to the top six teams in the East. The Orlando Magic (22-29) have the conference’s last playoff spot.
