  • Andre Iguodala has yet to suit up for the 2019-2020 NBA season
  • This has caused talk among his younger Memphis Grizzlies teammates
  • The Miami Heat are interested in trading for Andre Iguodala

As the trade deadline draws closer, more teams are looking to improve their roster. With the case of former finals MVP Andre Iguodala, he’s been in the discussion lately to what team he will end up with after the February 6 deadline.

The Memphis Grizzlies picked up the veteran forward last year and has yet to play him in this season. Per reports, there was a mutual agreement between Andre Iguodala’s camp and the Memphis Grizzlies to have him sit out before a possible trade comes up. This means that Andre Iguodala has not suited up for a single minute on the floor as a Memphis Grizzly. The young and exciting squad has missed out on the leadership that the former All-Star can bring to the team.

This has sparked an online debacle with current members of the Memphis Grizzlies airing out their opinion on the issue. Shooting guard Dillon Brooks spoke out against the issue stating that he would want to show Andre Iguodala what their team can really show against him.

This was validated with a retweet from sensational rookie Ja Morant in agreement to the statement

This has caused much talk across the league that even has reached former two-time league MVP, Steph Curry, to chime in on the topic.

Despite all the talk, there are other possible scenarios for Andre Iguodala sitting out for the rest of the season. It was speculated that the Miami Heat are also part of the teams interested in the services of the versatile big man. Shams Charania shared on a segment on the Stadium that the Miami Heat are suitors for the 36-year-old. No deal has materialized yet as factors such as picks and other pieces are still being discussed and monitored on the possible deal.

Andre Iguodala is one of the biggest names in the Warriors team that has won three championships. He started out with the Philadelphia as a high-flying dunk artist for the 76ers. He then moved to the Denver Nuggets for a single year where they won a franchise-best 57-25. It’s only a matter of time before the NBA sees what happens to the veteran.
