Kevin Love's name wasn't a stranger in multiple trade rumors this summer, but sophomore teammate Collin Sexton believes that he'll stay. The second-year player from Marietta, Georgia said that the All-Star power forward would not be "going anywhere."

Love, a five-time All-Star and NBA champion struggled with his injuries throughout the 2018-19 season. He only logged in 22 games and averaged 17 points per game while shooting 38.5 percent in the field. He also recorded 10.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 27.2 minutes per contest. During his absence, the Cavaliers finished with a 19-63 record.

The Cavaliers were one of the worst teams in the NBA last season and finished with a 19-63 record. They were second in the east, behind the New York Knicks who only managed to win 17 games.

In February, Love said that the Cavs are a "good group of guys that want to be better and guys that haven't given in to losing." Love inked a four-year, $120 million extension with the organization in July 2018.

Despite being involved in active trade rumors this summer, the Cavaliers do not want to deal with the 30-year-old All-Star. Sexton, the 8th overall pick on last year's draft, averaged respectable numbers on his professional debut season. He clocked in 16.7 points and 3.0 assists while shooting a decent 40.2% three-point field goal percentage.

The 20-year-old guard has always been appreciative of Love since he started to play in the league. In an interview, he said that once Kevin got back "from the injury, he was great for us." He added that the veteran forward had taught him a lot of things and he "can't wait to keep learning from him."

In April, the Cavs bid adieu with interim coach Larry Drew after suffering a disappointing season. The organization's top brass hired John Beilein from the Michigan Wolverines to supplant Drew as the new head coach.

In 2016, the then LeBron James squad upset the Golden State Warriors after trailing 3 - 1 in the finals. The Cavs came back to defeat Stephen Curry, and the Golden Bay team to win their first NBA title.

Lebron's departure in 2018, was a challenging year for the Cavs. The team had the worst second standing in the eastern conference division and went from the 5th best in 2017 to 14th in 2018.
