NBC’s ‘A.P. Bio’ Series Premiere: Here’s How You Know The Cast
NBC is ready to go with its new bad-teacher/good-students comedy series, “A.P. Bio,” which premieres Thursday at 9:30 p.m. EST. The show, about a disgraced Harvard scholar who ends up teaching biology at a high school, is filled with a talented crew of actors. Viewers might immediately recognize some of the faces, but, if not, here’s what the actors were in prior to this new series.
Glenn Howerton (Jack)
Heading up the series is Howerton, who many will know from his role as Dennis Reynolds on “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which he still portrays. He’s also starred as Cliff on “The Mindy Project” throughout the seasons of the now-over series. Plus, he was aso on “ER,” “Fargo” and “House of Lies,” giving viewers plenty of opportunities to check him out. This new show is another chance to do just that.
Aparna Brielle (Sarika)
While she hasn’t been in too many projects yet, you might’ve seen Brielle here and there on TV over the years. She had a small role in an episode of “Grimm” in 2014, was on “The Librarians” in 2015, and “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” in 2016. Now, she’s ready for a more permanent role in this new comedy series.
Jacob McCarthy (Devin)
Relatively new to the scene, McCarthy kicked off his career in 2016 with an episode of the YouTube Red series “Foursome” and then starred in the Irish film “The Drummer and the Keeper” in 2017.
Patton Oswalt (Principal Durbin)
The real questions is, where haven’t you seen Oswalt? He’s been acting in TV and movies since 1994, with roles in the 2004 comedy flick “Taxi” and action film “Blade: Trinity,” but fans will likely know him best from “The King of Queens,” where he played Spence Olchin for almost 200 episodes. More recently, he was on “Veep” and “Happy!”
Nick Piene (Marcus)
Aside from a few TV roles since 2012, Piene also starred in the 2016 comedy “Office Christmas Party” and the 2017 film “Just Getting Started” with Morgan Freeman.
Tucker Albrizzi (Colin)
After working on shows like “Mike & Molly,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Big Time Rush,” “Good Luck Charlie” and “American Vandal,” Albrizzi is ready for a full-time gig on “A.P. Bio.”
Allisyn Ashley Arm (Heather)
The actress has been starring in her own web series “Astrid Clover” for the past few years, but Disney Channel fans will remember has as Zora from Demi Lovato’s series “Sonny with a Chance” and its spinoff, “So Random!”
Jacob Houston (Victor)
While Arm was on Disney Channel, Houston was a Nickelodeon star on the series “How to Rock” with Halston Sage and Max Schneider. Recently, he was on “Criminal Minds” and “American Vandal.”
