'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 12: Callen's Relationship Will Be In 'Jeopardy'
KEY POINTS
- "NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 12 will air this year
- Callen has changed the most on the show this year
- Anna and Callen may settle down together
Callen (Chris O’Donnell) has a real chance at settling down in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12, but there will be challenges in his relationship. Executive producer Frank Military teased some details about the show in a recent interview, including details about Callen’s relationship with Anna (Bar Paly).
Season 10 was significant for Callen because the character evolved like never before on the show. In an interview with TV Guide, Military noted that the character has evolved the most recently than he did in 11 years. After finding it difficult to form an emotional connection, thanks to his childhood, Callen is now “opening up.”
Callen has a chance to settle down with Anna after recent events, but will he do it? According to Military, the fans will have to wait and watch what happens in this storyline because the relationship of the two characters will be in “jeopardy” when the TV series returns.
One of the problems that may come up between Callen and Anna is the past, TV Insider reported. If the two characters are serious about building their lives together, they may be able to overcome these challenges and emerge as a strong couple in “NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12.
While Callen will work on building his relationship with Anna, the stakes will also be higher at office. Hetty (Linda Hunt) is looking to retire and someone needs to take her position. So far, Callen has been reluctant to step up, but he may have no choice because there isn’t a better candidate. The team, including his partner Sam (LL Cool J), need a leader who they can trust while they go about following their individual dreams.
The team is also changing and expanding. FBI agent Roundtree (Caleb Castille) was offered a chance to be a part of the team and he has asked for some time to consider. It remains to be seen whether the new character will join the family of agents after being inspired by their bond.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” Season 12 is scheduled to air later this year. Meanwhile, the producers have asked the fans to tell them on Twitter what they would like to see on the show when it returns.
