Near The Anniversary Of Luke Perry's Death, Lili Reinhart Shares Emotional Dream
Luke Perry died March 4, 2019, and nearly a year after his death, Lili Reinhart’s subconscious is missing him.
On Wednesday the 23-year-old actor Tweeted to her 2.9 million followers that she believed Perry’s spirit visited her in her sleep.
“I had a dream last night that I saw Luke... and I hugged him so hard and cried into his shoulder, telling him how much we all miss him,” she posted on Twitter.
Perry was hospitalized for a stroke last February and died shortly after at 52 years old. He was frequently referred to as a father figure, full of sage wisdom by his “Riverdale” castmates. Many of the younger actors, like Reinhart, looked up to him, and his death took a huge toll on the entire "Riverdale" production.
His death was recognized by the “Riverdale” cast and crew in a special tribute episode. In October's Season 4 premiere, they held a funeral for his character’s death.
Perry played Fred Andrews, the father of KJ Apa’s character Archie Andrews, the lead of the show based on the Archie Comics popularized in the 40s. His sudden and unexpected death rocked the cast and crew and spurred a flux of sentimental posts on many of their social media.
Camila Mendes, who plays Veronica Lodge on the show, shared her own feelings of sorrow via a long Instagram post last March saying Perry “took care of us all,” and Apa posted a photo of Perry smiling in the sun with the caption, "Rest in Love bro."
Reinhart has been one of the more vocal co-stars on the death of Perry, updating fans often on her feelings surrounding the tragedy on her social media. Her tweet ends with, “I think his spirit was visiting me in my sleep, letting me know he’s smiling brightly on the other side.”
